• Turn back your thermostat at night to say 65 or so and keep the house warm during more active times of the day (7am-10pm). Consider installing a programmable thermostat, we sell and install numerous types of programmable thermostats that can help you save energy!
  
  
• Try and keep all the dust and animal hair that may be in your basement away from your oil burner. Your oil burner uses the basement air from the basement to mix with the atomized fuel oil to make a flame. If the air vents on the oil burner become clogged, your burner will operate "smoky" and create soot. Soot is a heating systems worse enemy, by coating the heating element and allowing valuable heat transfer to escape through the chimney! • Please consider shoveling your driveway and walkways thoroughly. You'll never know when you're going to need our service, and when we arrive, we quite often have heavy equipment that must be brought into your basement with us. Also, if you can take a moment to clear a path to your oil pipe, that would be very helpful as well. Fuel Oil drivers need to get there to fill your tank and we may need to get there with 10 gallons of oil in case the fuel oil driver didn't get there before you called for service!
